Description
* Ransom was assigned to the Federation starship USS Cerritos as a commander by the year 2380. He served as first officer under Captain Carol Freeman and was friends with Lieutenant Commander Stevens.
On stardate 57436.2, Ransom called Ensign Brad Boimler to the bridge, to join him on an away mission to a planet. The commander suffered an insect bite was infected by a rage virus. When the away team returned to the ship, the biofilters did not catch the disease.
